The highest-rated Premier League players and clubs of 2026–27 so far
Seven Gameweeks in, we've collected 1,965 FotMob ratings for the players in UnderPar. Here's who's rating highest, which clubs lift their players, and who never seems to have an off day.
Clubs: City and Brighton lead the way
Across the league, the average rating was 6.87. Players at the top clubs rate higher because their team has the ball more, makes more chances and concedes fewer. But the table isn't just the league table in another form.
| Club | Average |
|---|---|
| Manchester City | 7.38 |
| Brighton | 7.22 |
| Chelsea | 7.10 |
| Everton | 7.06 |
| Arsenal | 7.05 |
| … | |
| Aston Villa | 6.66 |
| Crystal Palace | 6.66 |
| Sunderland | 6.59 |
| Coventry City | 6.49 |
Brighton in second and Everton in fourth stand out, well above where their league positions would put them. Aston Villa, near the bottom here, are a reminder that a club's name doesn't guarantee its players will rate well.
The top-rated players

| Maxim De Cuyper | Brighton | 7.77 |
| João Pedro | Chelsea | 7.75 |
| Declan Rice | Arsenal | 7.73 |

Mr Reliable
Averages only tell half the story. In UnderPar, a player who's steady week after week is easier to trust than one who swings between 9 and 6. These players have averaged at least 7.0 with the smallest ups and downs:
| Player | Avg | Swing |
|---|---|---|
| Granit Xhaka (Sunderland) | 7.26 | ±0.29 |
| Harry Maguire (Man United) | 7.16 | ±0.29 |
| James Justin (Leeds) | 7.37 | ±0.31 |
| Vitaliy Mykolenko (Everton) | 7.43 | ±0.34 |
| Ethan Ampadu (Leeds) | 7.10 | ±0.34 |
"Swing" is how far a player's rating usually moves from his own average. A typical player swings by about 0.6, so these five are twice as steady as normal. Xhaka stands out: he's rating well above his club's average, which suggests he does his job whatever happens around him.
What it means for UnderPar
High-rated players carry high PARs, so Haaland and Cherki need huge games to go under. The players to watch are those rating well above what their club usually gets, and the steady ones whose PAR sits just below what they keep delivering.
